Multi-Facet Oval Cut Alexandrite Ring.
Alexandrite was originally discovered in the Southern Ural Mountains of Russia in the 1830's. It was named in honor of Alexandar Nicholavich, who later became the Russian Czar Alexander II.
The colour of Alexandrite changes under different lighting conditions. When viewed in daylight the stone appears blue-violet, when in incandescent light or candle light red-violet near amethyst colour.
