Faulty Items

Tarnishing
Bronze and Silver will naturally tarnish (oxidise) over time, dependent on the skin and care habits of the wearer. Contact with chemicals such as perfume, skin creams, hairspray, salty air, chlorine and acidic skin ph will cause tarnishing to occur more quickly. Tarnishing is therefore not a manufacturing fault. Tarnishing can be easily removed. See our Jewellery Care Guide
Acidic Skin PH Balances
High acidity levels in your skin may cause your skin to react with bronze and silver jewellery, this is due to the presence of sulfur/sulfides and amino acids in perspiration. The acidic nature of your sweat can cause discolouration to your skin and/to your jewellery. This may result in your skin turning green or black colour, which can be easily wiped off.
Cleaning your jewellery frequently should prevent this reaction. You can also apply a layer of clear nail polish on the inside of jewellery that irritates your skin, this will form a defensive barrier and prevent reaction to the alloy. Reaction to high acidity levels in your skin is not a manufacturing fault.
If you have sensitive skin and prone to allergic reactions you may find that 14k or 18k gold jewellery may be more suitable for your skin type.
Crystals and Gemstones
Crystals and gemstones are delicate and need to be handled with care, they are not indestructible and can fracture and chip if they are knocked against hard surfaces. Natural inclusions in crystals and gemstones are part of their unique beauty.
All our crystals and gemstones are inspected and quality controlled before they leave our workshop. If they become fractured or chipped due to general wear and tear, this is not considered to be a manufacturing fault. If an item has arrived damage on delivery please contact us immediately and we will repair the faulty item.
If a crystal or gemstone has been damaged due to general wear and tear, we will do our best to replace it if possible. Please note due to the unique nature of crystals and gemstones it will not be exactly the same.
Professional Cleaning and Repair Service
We offer a professional polishing, reconditioning and repair service for all our jewellery. To keep your jewellery looking brand new, we will clean each item and replace any necklace cords and fittings if needed.

When you purchase a piece of jewellery from us, you are entering a contract that states you are thereby entirely responsible for the jewellery and its use thereafter.
