Multi-Facet Oval Cut Ruby Ring.
Fiery and captivating ruby is known as a stone of nobility, one of the four precious gemstones alongside emerald, sapphire and diamond. Revered in many cultures throughout the ages, the ruby symbolises power and protection, warriors wore the ruby as a talisman to protect them in battle. Modern day interpretations include Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, the ruby slippers were thought to protect her from evil.
The name Ruby comes from the Latin word "Rubeus", which means red.
