Smoky Quartz
A translucent light to dark brown quartz crystal, known as nature's stone of power and endurance. A sacred gemstone used in ceremonies and rituals favoured by the ancient druids, earth gods and goddesses for its ability to protect, ground and transform negative energy.
Smoky Quartz is the national gemstone of Scotland, a country with the longest historical association with the stone. Around 300 B.C. the Celts mined Smoky Quartz from the Cairngorm Mountains of the Scottish highlands. Smoky Quartz is still prominent in Highlander fashion in jewellery, brooches, kilt pins and power stones on Scottish weaponry today.
