Tourmaline is a gemstone that has the widest range of colours and hues of any gemstone, including yellow, brown, orange, green, blue, pink, peach and red.

Some tourmalines have a combination of two or more different colours, often referred to as "Rainbow Tourmaline, Bi-Coloured Tourmaline, Multi-Coloured Tourmaline and Watermelon Tourmaline. Multi colour combinations often consist of blue and green, pink and yellow, green and pink.

Tourmaline is the birthstone for those born in October. Very few gemstones matches Tourmaline's dazzling array of colours. Ancient mystics believed that Tourmaline could inspire artistic expression because it has a colour palette for every mood.

It is a gemstone that balances the heart bringing the masculine and feminine energies together in harmony. Also known as the Love Stone bringing compassion, love and energy in relationships.

The name 'Tourmaline' is derived from a Singhalese word "Thuramali" or "Thoramalli" meaning a stone with mixed colours.
